How the CCTV Survey Works

The process is quick and minimally disruptive:

• A specialist CCTV camera is inserted into the drain via an access point and guided through the pipe.
• Live footage is transmitted to a monitor above ground, allowing our operator to log any defects and their exact locations.
• A detailed report is then produced, listing all findings and supported by photographs, video, or digital media, along with a site plan showing the drain layout.

Because repairing defective drains can be costly, we recommend a CCTV inspection as part of any pre-purchase property survey to avoid unexpected expenses.

When defects are confined to a small section of a drain, a patch repair offers a permanent, high-quality solution. This process involves coating a fiberglass mat with epoxy resin, wrapping it around an inflatable packer, and positioning it at the defect. The packer is inflated, and the resin is left to cure, creating a strong, durable repair.

Section Lining

For drains damaged along a greater length, we use full section lining. A resin-impregnated lining “sock” is inserted throughout the damaged section and moulded into place using air or water pressure. Once cured, this forms a new, reinforced pipe within the original structure—restoring integrity without the need for excavation.
